PERFECT BLUE

Warning: Flashing lights and violent imagery.

I was inspired to make a music video based on Satoshi Kon's landmark 1997 film, Perfect Blue, after seeing a commentator break down his works on his usage of time and space. I wanted to reflect Satoshi Kon's editing style of match cuts and fast paced editing, with stylized typography interacting with the video.

I chose the song Pluto, as it's one of Björk's most harsh songs, and her life shares some parallels with the main character of Perfect Blue.
